FOOD

Basic food
Hamsters need food to stay alive. The basic stuff is the packets of mixed food(pellets) that you can buy from most supermarkets and pet shops. A good place to look for some is local pet shops which are'nt part of a big company. These usually sell them in little bags for a much cheaper price and hamsters love it as much as the stuff you can get from tescos! You should feed the hamster every day at a specific time when the hamster wakes up. if he/she wakes up a bit too late. change the food at the same time every day and wake the hamster up. After a few days the hamster will be used to getting up at that time for its fresh food and water.Below is a list of treats which hamsters can eat and which they can't eat. REMEMBER the list below is for treats only. Don't give them too much in a day as this will harm their diet and could lead to diahorrea or consepation. see the health section.
