CAGES
Different cages
It is very important to get a proper sized cage for a hamster. Somw can be too small, which is very boring or some too big to put anywhere. A few are shown here which show the different styles of cages but the real rule for buying cages is. get a cage if you can which is no more than 2-3 stories high and one which is quite wide.

Where do I put my pet when I am cleaning its cage?
As shown on the training page, you can put hamsters into running balls available in pet shops, or you could buy a smaller cage. These i don't find as good if you are cleaning out a cage as hamsters do get distressed as it is a small space, but if you are taking it to the vets for a check-up or if you are taking it some where in the car it is very good as it can't harm itself and the cage is stable. these are also available in pet shops. if you can't get hold of one, you could always use a shoe box with holes in or an old fish tank.
